News of two new groups.
Beginner’s Ukelele Group
A 12-week taster course for members who might be interested in playing. It will start on Monday 5th October from 2 till 3pm and will take place each week..
The venue will be arranged according to numbers as will any venue charges, if applicable.
You do not need to buy an instrument at this point, as the Group Leader has a number of ukes you can borrow initially. If you can sing along, you will find it helpful, and music which will be familiar to most will be used.
The sessions should be fun and are aimed at learning 3 or 4 easy chords over the 12 weeks. These chords will then enable you to play a lot of tunes. It’s an easy instrument to play but does require regular practise.
Please contact the Group Co-ordinator if you are interested, via the website or at a General Meeting.
Herbs, Plants and Things
This group offers a little insight into an eclectic mix of some of the favourite plants and herbs we enjoy in our gardens and in the food we eat.
Meeting monthly over a six-month period from October, we will explore some of the history of our gardens through shared learning and sample some tasty morsels using some of our discoveries.
Dates and times TBA
If you are interested, please contact the Groups Co-ordinator through the website or at a General Meeting.
